We understand that stability and security are critical for off-road adventure cycling. The MX201 Flat has a comfortable SPD compatible Real Rubber and EVA Enduro Sole, with a semi-rigid Nylon midsole. There’s often a balance required between biking and hike-a-bike when taking to the trails, and the MX201 is designed to give you that necessary stability on all types of mixed terrain.

The MX201 features Lake’s Legendary Fiberglass Injected Nylon sole formula, with an all-new design that has incredible grip on all surfaces, alongside superb durability for all day cycling. It’ll take the knocks, so you don’t have to.

The MX201 has a rugged and tough Clarino Microfiber & NuFoam mesh upper, perfect for off-road adventures. Closure

We know how important it is to have the right closure system – especially for technical off-road terrain, where security and stability is critical. We’ve used BOA® Fit System Li2 dials for ultimate adjustability. The Li2 dial is the most advanced platform in cycling, offering a precise, micro-adjustable fit in both directions and designed to resist abrasion.

You can ride in comfort and confidence on those off-road adventures, as the Li2 dual dials help to wrap your feet like a second skin.

Most Asked Questions

Is the MX201 designed for only wide feet?

The MX201 is built on Lake's Comfort Plus last, which provides a wider toe box. This design is not only ideal for riders with wider feet, but also for toe splaying and barefoot enthusiasts. The extra room in the toe box reduces pressure on the toes, offering enhanced comfort, especially during long rides or when walking.

How do your mountain bike shoes fit?

They provide a close, supportive fit with added protection for off-road use. We offer multiple width and last options to match your foot shape.

Are the BOA® dials and other parts replaceable?

Yes. BOA® dials are replaceable, and many shoes include removable toe spikes or replaceable tread sections for longevity.

What pedal systems are MTB shoes compatible with?

All of our MTB shoes use the 2-bolt cleat pattern, making them compatible with SPD and other off-road 2-bolt pedal systems.

Are they grippy off the bike?

Yes. Aggressive tread and durable rubber outsoles give you reliable traction when walking or carrying your bike on rugged terrain.

Are these shoes suitable for long trail rides?

Do they protect well against rocks and debris?
