Description

The MX239 Gravel is the latest version of our most popular gravel biking shoe for adventure seekers. This new evolution of our legendary MX238 Gravel is now updated to include an integrated tongue to the medial panel of the upper for a firmer foot hold, ensuring that power is maximized into forward momentum through improved stability.

The MX239 Gravel comes with a new fiberglass reinforced internal heel counter, creating a more stable heel hold, and has more spacing between the two BOA® dials to give greater zone adjustment to the forefoot area. It takes one of our favorite off-road adventure cycling shoes to a whole new level of comfort, fit and performance, with modern styling as standard. Add to this the Mountain Race X real rubber sole, and you have a gravel biking shoe to take on any challenge.

Last

MX Competition Last – The MX239 Gravel features a larger toe box and a tighter heel cup than the Comfort Plus Last and comes with slightly more overall volume than our Sport Last. It’s an exceptionally secure cycling shoe, giving you that extra confidence on loose terrain where security is key when riding hard and racing. The shoe comes with enough room in the toe box to prevent binding when running up inclines or negotiating those tricky technical sections. The wider toe box gives your feet a more natural fit and platform.

Our Lake MX Competition last ensures that the MX239 Gravel shoe is designed to maximize your performance when riding off-road adventures and racing on the rough stuff – for as long as your adventures last.

Outsole

The MX239 Gravel comes fitted with our Lake Competition 100% Carbon Fiber Sole, alongside our Mountain Race X real rubber sole, to provide you with a super-stable off-road cycling shoe. With extended protection for the toe area, and the opportunity to fit lugs to the forefoot area of the sole, it provides that all-important stability for the feet on all types of technical terrain, however loose.

Lining

This latest high performance road cycling shoe comes with a choice of either a Clarino Microfiber (Stone/Black or White/Black) or a Recycled Leather (Black/Gold) with Mesh and Helcor Abrasion resistant leather panels with Outlast heel lining. In our continuing efforts to use the best materials available, and by working with world-class materials suppliers, we’re also committed to sustainability in our latest products, meaning that our shoes are designed to be used for a long time and can be repaired. Alongside the Black/Gold colorway, we are truly proud to introduce Recycled leather to the cycling shoe world. Performance, style and sustainability is possible – with Lake cycling shoes.

Closure

BOA® Fit System Side mounted Li2 Push/Pull dial with releasable guides integrated into Lake’s incredible fitting and comfortable uppers. The Li2 dial is the most advanced platform in cycling, offering a precise, micro-adjustable fit in both directions and designed to resist abrasion. There is not one element that can take credit for shoe fit on its own. Closure and comfort are down to several details, which is why here at Lake, we take time to design shoes with what we believe to be the best comfort and closure systems. The dual BOA® fit system is not unique to cycling, but it is how we use this dial system in conjunction with our pattern work, our world-class shoe Last and our selection of superior upper materials that make this system work.

Ultimately, this is why Lake shoes are known across the world for being some of the best fitting and most comfortable high performance cycling shoes.
